Talk about getting it right, les mills have nailed this one on the head. Brand new program, and its perfect! Intensity, but intensity that is safe for everyone, and challenges everyone. It works, and it gets results. 30 minutes personal training inspired program for your core. Training that is functional and integrated to get heart rate pumping and body sweating. Not only that you leave the room feeling inspired, energized and ready to really hit your day. I have been teaching this program now for 6 weeks, and the results in members and in my own strength is unreal. To make it all even better Les mills is making it tougher, you can make the workout more and more challenging, it involves plates and resistance tubes, so you can really get and achieve results.
I don’t know why, but for some reason I get very excited by workouts that are core inspired, I love the feeling of challenging my core. Whether is all in my head or not, but I love how a strong core makes me feel…and how it looks of course :) I also think its because I know how important it is for everyone. If there is one common problem, or common request, or need. It is that people want strong cores….injury prevention, health, posture and then of course the good old looks….core inspires! This program inspires me, and inspires members and works!
A typical class looks like this.
Track one – Warm up – Fun up beat music, lying on your back and moves that are fairly basic to warm up  your core.
Track 2 – Core strength 1 – This is all about lower abdominals and planks, big track, intense music, awesome intensity and love it!! Look out for hovers, and leg lowers, and abdominal burn you will feel the next day.
Track 3 – Standing strength 1 – This is a powerful track to powerful music. All about glutes, and power integration between legs and upper body, so think wood-chops, lunges with twists, and squats with arms above head. All about lifting heart rate and using entire body as one functional powerful unit. The way its designed to be used.
Track 4 – Standing Strength 2 – This is about hip stabilization and strength. More singalong music and more isolated track. So once this track starts your thinking phew! This is easier than the last….but wait, the burn kicks into the hips and the glutes, and then you are thinking, wow! This is good! Think stabilization for dyanimic moves, one leg squats, bridges, single leg lifts.
Track 5- Core strength 2- Obliques, Obliques, Obliques. All the moves you want to tone and suck in the muffin tops, and sinch in the belt another notch. Upbeat singalong awesome music, watch out for a few side hovers.
Track 6- Back – this is about balancing the body, increasing strength of the back, and giving great postural balance. Also the last track of the class, so music more relaxed and you will feel this in upper back, lower back and glutes. Great feeling to end of 30minutes.
